When you come to church on Sundays, take a moment to look at some of the perennial flowers that are blooming now. Last summer, some Blackeyed Susans were planted in front of the sign on the lawn. In the back parking lot, where the basketball court is, there are colorful flowers blooming. These small steps are just the beginning of our Memorial Garden project.
We wish to acknowledge Anoush Berberian who has spent many hours designing the garden, cleaning it, planting the plants and moving things around. Her selfless efforts are much appreciated.
If you have any questions or would like to be included in this project, please contact Jovia Keytanjian at 610.933.7511 or any member of our Parish Council.

In the Fall 2006 issue of the Mer Doon, we announced that memorial plaques had been discovered with Armenian writing and dates. Several parishioners have responded with the history of these plaques. When the church was located at 6006 Walnut Street, when parishioners passed away in the late 1940s, money given in lieu of flowers to the church resulted in a memorial plaque being made for the deceased. These plaques were placed on the wall in the hallway leading up the stairs to the second floor where the church was located. Many thanks to Helen Parseghian, Richard Oski and Rose Kazanjian who provided details.
We are now in the process of determining the best way to utilize these plaques. The leading choices are giving the plaque to the family or returning them to a place of prominence in an appropriate place in the church. Family members of those whose names were listed should contact Steve Barsamian at 215.988.0500 with their suggestions.
A copy of the Fall 2006 issue of the Mer Doon is on the website for those who wish to review the list.
